Overview

Carol Schababerle has over 20 years experience in health, safety and environmental performance improvement from a unique combination of perspectives in manufacturing (plant level and corporate management), R&D, regulatory agency enforcement and consulting engineering.

Specialist areas

• Design of efficient management systems for environmental , health and safety, plus product safety regulatory compliance
• Integration of environmental, health and safety systems with other business systems; moving towards sustainability
• Audits of management systems in these areas against internal and external standards, in particular ISO 14001 and Responsible Care
• Employee training on environmental, health and safety, product safety and related topics
• Planning and conducting effective outreach with employees, communities and supply chain business partners, including quantitative measurements of success

Experience

Carol Schababerle has diverse work experience in steel, petrochemicals, plastics, refineries, pesticides, rubber and tire manufacturing, creosote, military installations and rail car manufacturing and cleaning operations. Previous employers include Quantum Chemicals, Armco Steel, Cain Chemical, and the State of Texas. Among her history of completed projects and accomplishments is the avoidance of a multi-million dollar FDA recall for a major US plastics manufacturer.
